1. Our role
We handle account, billing, website, and service-administration information for our own business purposes.
When a customer uploads documents or sends them to other people, we generally process that content on the customer’s behalf and according to their instructions. The customer determines the document’s purpose, intended recipients, and authorized use.
If you receive a document from a ReadyInk customer, contact that sender about the document’s contents, the reason your information was collected, or a request to change or delete the sender’s records. You may also contact us for assistance identifying the appropriate account owner.
2. Information we collect
Account and team information
We collect information you provide when creating or managing an account, including your name, email address, business information, login credentials or authentication information, team membership, and account preferences.
Documents and signing information
We process uploaded documents and their contents, recipient names and email addresses, form responses, signatures, initials, attachments, comments, and related instructions.
We also collect information needed to document the signing process, such as document identifiers, consent records, authentication events, delivery status, timestamps, IP addresses, browser information, and signing activity.
Documents may contain personal information about people who do not have ReadyInk accounts.
Purchase and subscription information
We collect token purchases, balances, token usage, subscription details, billing information, transaction identifiers, and payment status.
Payments are processed by Stripe. [CONFIRM WHETHER READYINK RECEIVES OR STORES ANY FULL PAYMENT-CARD DETAILS, AND DESCRIBE THE ACTUAL PRACTICE.]
Website and technical information
We collect technical information associated with service use, such as IP addresses, device and browser characteristics, pages visited, service events, error reports, and security logs.
Communications
We collect information you provide when contacting support, submitting feedback, or communicating with us.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and administer accounts and team workspaces.
- Upload, prepare, route, display, sign, and deliver documents.
- Maintain signing histories and completion records.
- Process purchases, subscriptions, token balances, and receipts.
- Send signing invitations, reminders, security notices, and service updates.
- Provide AI-assisted features requested by customers.
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and service failures.
- Maintain and improve service reliability and functionality.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.
- Send marketing communications where permitted, subject to your preferences.
We do not need access to all document content for every administrative purpose. Access should be limited to what is necessary for the relevant task.
4. AI-assisted processing
If you use an AI-assisted feature, selected document content, instructions, or related information may be sent to our AI service providers to perform that feature.
AI assistance may include suggesting signing fields, extracting information, or identifying incomplete fields. AI output can be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use.

Model-training practices: [INSERT VERIFIED POLICY FOR BOTH READYINK AND ITS AI PROVIDERS, INCLUDING WHETHER CUSTOMER CONTENT IS USED TO TRAIN GENERAL-PURPOSE MODELS.]
Provider retention and processing locations: [DESCRIBE VERIFIED PRACTICES.]
We will not describe document processing as private, local-only, or excluded from model training unless those descriptions accurately reflect the service’s configuration and provider agreements.
5. How we disclose information
We disclose information as necessary to:
Authorized recipients and team members. Documents and associated information are shared with people designated by the sender and workspace members with appropriate access.
Service providers. We use providers for functions such as hosting, storage, payment processing, email delivery, authentication, signing infrastructure, AI processing, and support. They receive information needed to perform their services, subject to applicable contractual restrictions.
Legal and security purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate abuse, protect rights and safety, or enforce our agreements.
Business transactions. Information may be disclosed in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable protections and notice requirements.
At your direction. We may disclose information when you authorize an integration or otherwise instruct us to do so.
Sale, targeted advertising, and cross-context sharing: [STATE WHETHER THESE ACTIVITIES OCCUR. IF THEY DO, IDENTIFY THE INFORMATION AND PARTNERS INVOLVED, AND PROVIDE ANY REQUIRED OPT-OUT METHODS.]
6. Cookies and similar technologies

7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for periods appropriate to its purpose, contractual commitments, security requirements, and applicable law.
Our document-storage policy is:
- Individual accounts: Documents are stored for 30 days after the account’s most recent payment activity (a token purchase).
- Team accounts: Documents remain available while the subscription is paid, subject to applicable limits. Following cancellation, documents remain available to view and download until the end of the paid billing period. Following nonpayment, they remain available until the end of the 5-day grace period.
- Deletion notices: We email the account owner at least 5 days before documents are deleted.
- Signing evidence and audit records: Kept for 30 days after the related documents are deleted.
- Backups: Deleted information may remain in restricted backups for up to 30 days before normal backup expiration.
We may retain limited billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal-compliance records after account closure where necessary.
Purchased tokens not expiring does not mean documents are stored indefinitely. Spending the last token does not, by itself, establish a document-deletion date.
Recipients may download and retain their own copies. We cannot delete copies held independently by senders, recipients, or connected services.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process.
[VERIFY AND DESCRIBE IMPLEMENTED SAFEGUARDS, INCLUDING ENCRYPTION, ACCESS CONTROLS, AND BACKUP PROTECTIONS.]
No internet service or storage system is completely secure. Please protect your login credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to info@readyink.ai.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. You may also have applicable objection, consent-withdrawal, appeal, or complaint rights.
Send requests to info@readyink.ai. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. Where we process information for a customer, we may refer the request to that customer or assist them in responding.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe mechanism. Necessary signing, billing, security, and service messages may still be sent.
[ADD ANY REQUIRED JURISDICTION-SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES, LEGAL BASES, APPEAL PROCEDURES, REPRESENTATIVES, OR COMPLAINT CONTACTS BEFORE SERVING THOSE MARKETS.]
10. International processing
Our providers may process information in [INSERT COUNTRIES OR REGIONS]. Where applicable law restricts international transfers, we use the required contractual or other transfer safeguards.
Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
11. Children
ReadyInk is intended for adult business users and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us.
Customers must obtain any necessary parent, guardian, or other authorization before involving a minor in a document transaction.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise its effective date and provide additional notice where required by law or appropriate to the significance of the change.
